Calera Community Center

Calera Community Center can be used for:
- Private party gatherings such as teas, showers, birthday parties, weddings, receptions, etc. and organizational community meetings.
- All activities must end by 10:00 p.m.
- No Alcoholic beverages allowed on premises.
- No Admission charge or similar donation can be charged.
- No Smoking inside building.
- No loud music, P.A. systems or loud bands allowed on premises.
- No violations of any state or City of Calera ordinances.
- FACILITY MUST BE CLEAN WHEN YOU LEAVE (Trash will need to be taken out to the dumpster before you leave) See Below
- Rental Fee is $275.00- $150.00 is considered a deposit and will be returned to you upon return of key to building, inspection of the premises and documentation that everything is left clean and no damage has occurred. $125.00 is the actual charge for use of the building and will not be refunded. (A check will be issued and mailed within 10 -14 business days.)
- Damages: An inspection will be made before you leave the premises. Any repair of damages that occurred while in use by the person listed above will be the financial responsibility of that said person.
In order to receive your $150.00 Deposit Refund:
You must return key to person doing final inspection of the building.
The building must be in the same condition as when you arrived.
Counters must be cleaned if the kitchen is used.
Garbage taken out
Floors clean
All toilets flushed
Chairs Stacked
Tables Cleaned
Any garbage outside of building must be picked up and put in dumpster provided at rear of building.
Call the Calera Police Department at 668-3505 at least 1 hour before you are ready to leave so they can contact the Maintenance Department to come and perform an inspection and pick up the key. THE KEY MUST BE GIVEN TO PERSON PERFORMING INSPECTION. IT IS NOT TO BE LEFT AT POLICE DEPARTMENT OR IN THE DROPBOX AT CITY HALL DRIVE THRU WINDOW!!!!
When the inspection is passed, a report will be given to Accounts Payable and your check will be issued within 10 -14 business days.
The reservation and use of City of Calera Property is intended for Calera residents and businesses. The Calera Police Department will monitor the activities and any violations of the Rules and Regulations governing the use of property will result in the activity to be closed and the premises vacated. Any problems that occur during usage will be documented and grounds for future denial of use by the individual or association/group involved.
The City of Calera reserves the right to cancel the above function at any time in the event of problems or disturbances. In the event of problems, all fees paid for usage may be forfeited.
