1. Can I register to vote at the library?

The library provides voter registration forms. You can fill them out and send them to the appropriate address provided on the form.

2. What do you need to obtain library membership?

To be eligible for a Shelby County Library card, a patron must must have a picture ID and present proof of Shelby County address.

3. Does the library proctor test?

Yes. Please call the library and make an appointment to have a test proctored.

4. Does the library have a meeting room available for public use?

Yes, but the meeting room is used for training and educational purposes only. Please call the library for more information. (205) 668-7200

5. Can I return videos and DVDs in the book drop?

Yes. Any item including non-print material may be returned in the book drop.

6. Does the library accept donations?

Not at this time

7. Does the library have a copier and fax machine for public use?

Yes. Copies are $.10 a page and faxes are $1.00 per fax.
