How can I discretely report a crime or suspicious activity?: If you witness or hear of activity you suspect to be a crime or suspicious activity, there are several ways you can report this without fear of being identified. All information received will be dealt with by its own merit. The Police Department will not take action on unsupported information; however that does not mean that the matter will not be reviewed. You can contact the police at (205) 668-3505. Your identity is not crucial in all cases however for us to be effective with your concerns, we may need to contact you if we have questions.

1. What do I do if I have an outstanding warrant against me?: You must turn yourself in to the Calera Police Department. You will be able to post bond (except in violation of probation cases) as soon as the Police Department concludes the booking process. Bond may be posted in cash or through a professional bonding company.

2. What are the hours of operation for City Hall?: The Calera City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Please check the City Holidays for schedules.

3. How do I file a police report?: If you want to file a police report, please call (205) 668-3505 or come by the office located at 10947 Highway 25, (across the street from Central State Bank). Please remember that calling or speaking with a police employee does not mean that a report was filed. Ask the officer for a report number.

4. How can I get a copy of a police report?: You can obtain a copy of your report by coming by our police records office at the Calera Police Department (10947 Hwy 25). Hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Records is closed for lunch between Noon-1pm . Copies are $1 per page, $5 minimum. Please contact us at (205) 668-3889 for pricing schedules for other media such as videos, photos, etc.
